Welcome to the new Pratt Beach Properties blog where the sand, surf, and community spirit of Manhattan Beach run deeper than just our business; they’re part of who we are. We’re Kevin, Brigitte, and Natalie Pratt, a family real estate team with over 50 years of combined experience and more than $1 billion in South Bay sales.

Kevin has lived in the Sand Section of Manhattan Beach for 47 years and has been working in South Bay Real Estate for over 34 years. Kevin Pratt grew up in Manhattan Beach and attended Mira Costa High School before heading to San Diego State University. After graduating, his sense of adventure took him around the world with Club Med. A hurricane that struck Bermuda ultimately redirected him to Club Med’s New York City headquarters - a move that would change everything. It was there that he met Brigitte, and together they eventually returned to his hometown of Manhattan Beach to put down roots. Kevin began his real estate career in 1989 with Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate Services in West Los Angeles and transitioned in 1991 to specializing in residential beach real estate. In addition to selling properties, he managed a Manhattan Beach real estate office with over 80 agents for 12 years. 

Brigitte’s journey began with Swiss roots and an international career in the travel industry that took her across the globe - and ultimately to New York City, where fate introduced her to Kevin. Eventually the two decided to trade skyscrapers for sunsets and made their way back to Kevin’s hometown of Manhattan Beach. Now a South Bay resident for over 35 years, Brigitte combines her worldly background with a deep local knowledge of the community and its top-rated schools. Her calm professionalism, sharp organizational instincts, and strong negotiating skills allow clients to feel completely at ease, knowing every detail is being handled with care. Together, Kevin and Brigitte bring a unique balance of experience, local roots, and global perspective to every transaction. 

And then came Natalie! Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, Natalie grew up surrounded by the world of South Bay real estate - attending open houses before she could even drive and learning firsthand what it means to build lasting relationships in the community. After graduating from New York University, she spent nearly a decade in NYC working in fashion sales and marketing for leading labels and showrooms, honing her eye for design and her talent for connecting with people. Eventually, the pull of home (and the ocean) brought her back to Manhattan Beach, where she joined her parents at Pratt Beach Properties. Today, Natalie blends her marketing expertise, creative vision, and local insight to connect with a new generation of homebuyers and sellers. Her deep roots, global experience, and genuine passion for coastal living make her a natural fit for continuing the family legacy.

Our family’s roots here stretch across generations - we grew up surfing before school, playing in countless beach volleyball tournaments, doing Junior Lifeguards every summer, running on the Strand, and spending every birthday at the beach. The Sand Section isn’t just where we work - it’s where we grew up, built friendships, and learned the rhythm of life. Simply put, the Sand Section is in our DNA.

Growing up here, we learned early how much every detail matters, from the angle of a view to the nuance of height limits or the character of a walkstreet. That local knowledge combined with decades of market experience allows us to guide clients through one of the most competitive coastal real estate markets in the country with confidence and clarity.
